GTIN

This attribute is the global trade item number of your item.

When to use

You have to use this attribute to submit global trade item numbers. The 'gtin' attributes include UPC, EAN, JAN and ISBN, which are explained in guidelines and country specifications. For more information look at the Unique Product Identifier Rules.

Guidelines

You must use valid 'gtin' attributes, so the checksum digit has to be present and correct. The 'gtin' attribute is not restricted and it is not a coupon.

The ISBN for books is a 10 or 13-digit number. The 13-digit number is the modern format, so do not include the 10-digit number if you know both. If you only have the 10-digit number it must be converted to a 13-digit number.For multipacks you need a 14-digit number.
