New Google Shopping Ads Format For Apparel And Home Decor

Did you see last weeks’ announcement on the AdWords Blog? An entire industry is in turmoil. Fashion retailers are looking forward to the new “Shop the Look” Ads for Google Shopping. Shop the Look ads are an entirely new format for apparel and home decor products.  We took a closer look and summarized all available information in our blog post.

Increased Googlebot Crawling Not A Sign of Google Update Or Manual Action

There were rumors about a new update of the Google search algorithm and the whole search community was worried that they need to update their websites or are afraid of a quality score downgrade.


The truth is: There is nothing to worry. John Mueller from Google Switzerland answered the question about a new Google algorithm update:

“There is none.”

Bidding On Competitor Keywords The Right Way

Simon Anez from AnezMedia wrote a nice post about competitor keyword bidding including short list about the cons and pros. Simon summarizes:

For people that really can’t afford a high CPA in their campaigns, this might not be the best option. However, it is still a strategy that is worth testing for your specific market so I’d say go for it, as long as you are smart about it and educate yourself in the process.
